A Powerhouse Partnership to Expand Overseas! Maxnerva Joins Forces with ENNOCONN to Implement an NCR Operations and Maintenance Project in the US

Recently, the US NCR Smart Operations and Maintenance System upgrade project, jointly developed by Maxnerva and ENNOCONN, has been successfully delivered across the entire value chain. This integrated digital system—spanning from customer requirements through production line execution to global logistics delivery—relies on an architectural design that deeply integrates multiple systems. It has thoroughly resolved industry pain points such as data silos and process disconnects in cross-border manufacturing scenarios, injecting fresh digital momentum into NCR’s smart retail terminal production operations in North America.
The core design philosophy behind this comprehensive upgrade to NCR’s smart operations and maintenance system—developed by ENNOCONN’s Americas and Asia-Pacific regions—is ‘end-to-end, full-chain collaboration’. It interfaces upstream with NCRV Voyix’s business ecosystem for POS and self-service checkout equipment serving end customers in the hospitality, catering and retail sectors, whilst downstream it integrates all process nodes from production planning and manufacturing through to warehousing, logistics and cross-border delivery, thereby enabling real-time data flow and automated collaboration across the entire supply chain.

The upgrade has achieved in-depth integration and end-to-end alignment across nine core business systems, complementing digital capabilities across the full spectrum of scenarios—from B2B commercial interactions, enterprise resource coordination and supply chain collaboration to production line execution, warehouse management, cross-border compliance and logistics scheduling. This has completely eliminated data silos between systems, transforming what were previously disparate and independent business modules into an interconnected, traceable and automatically schedulable closed-loop system, thereby laying a solid digital foundation for the efficient and stable operation of the North American factories.

The EDI system enables the automatic exchange of standardised messages with NCR’s head office system; business documents such as purchase orders, order confirmations and dispatch notifications are transmitted automatically online throughout the entire process, reducing the costs associated with manual email communication across time zones by more than 90 per cent.
SAP ERP, acting as the central data hub, centrally manages and controls ENNOCONN USA’s core operational data—including NCR material master data, BOM formulations and production orders—whilst integrating sales orders, MRP calculation results and procurement instructions from the upstream Oracle ERP system, thereby providing a unified data benchmark for end-to-end business operations.

SRM: By establishing a collaborative interface with upstream suppliers, it enables online tracking of procurement progress and the automatic synchronisation of incoming goods inspection data, thereby significantly improving the responsiveness of the local supply chain in North America.
Manhattan WMS: Enables detailed, location-based management of raw material receipt, work-in-progress movement and finished goods dispatch, whilst integrating in real time with the MES system to ensure that material delivery precisely matches production line rhythms.
MES+QC: Provides operational control and quality verification across the entire production process; the production processes and inspection data for each piece of equipment are fully traceable, enabling effective control of product defect rates.
WEBUI: A lightweight, unified operational portal has been established, enabling users in different roles to quickly access the relevant business modules via a web browser, eliminating the need to switch between multiple systems repeatedly and significantly lowering the operational barrier for frontline staff.
CargoBase TMS: Centralises the management of transport resources from multiple logistics providers, including DHL and FedEx, automatically matches the optimal cross-border transport solutions, and enables end-to-end visibility and tracking of logistics nodes.
E2open GTS: Automatically adapts to compliance and declaration rules for US and cross-border imports and exports; automatically generates documents such as commercial invoices; significantly reduces the error rate in customs clearance; and ensures the smooth flow of cross-border logistics.

TQOS, RQS and Pangaea: these three production line-specific systems are deeply optimised for the production environment at the North American factory, covering core processes such as the issuance of production line tasks, the collection of equipment status data and the verification of finished product packaging. A local image server ensures the secure storage of production data, enabling full autonomy and control over the entire production process.
Following the completion of the full system upgrade, the order response time at NCR’s Nashville plant was reduced by 35 per cent, inventory turnover efficiency improved by nearly 30 per cent, and the error rate across the entire cross-border delivery process fell to an exceptionally low level for the industry. Going forward, Maxnerva and ENNOCONN will continue to enhance their operations and maintenance services, iteratively optimising functionality based on this integrated architecture to provide ongoing, stable support for the digital transformation of high-end manufacturing operations across North America.
